Overview

hands

The QPR Gatekeeper training equips you with the skills and knowledge needed to help someone who's suicidal. QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer — the 3 simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide. Just as people trained in CPR or the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognise the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help.

Trained Gatekeepers gain the following knowledge

How to get help for yourself or learn more about preventing suicide
The common causes of suicidal behaviour
The warning signs of suicide
How to Question, Persuade, and Refer someone
How to get help for someone in crisis

All trained Gatekeepers get

A completion certificate from QPR Institute valid for two years
A downloadable suicide prevention manual containing the enriched program overview
Access to the one hour QPR Institute online Gatekeeper training
The best-selling e-book Suicide: The Forever Decision by Paul Quinnett, Ph.D
